Project Dirt

Making environmental change happen

Hi there!

Searching for a VOLUNTEER!

It's great - we're growing... fast! But the downside is that's it's getting a bit much for Mark and Nick to handle on their own.

So, we're looking for a volunteer (or two) to help us!

To do what?
- We need help with day-to-day management of the site... mmm yeah
- You'll be a sociable, imaginative, 'green-at-heart' person - engaging with our network across London
- Help us develop a NEW environmental volunteering portal for London
- We may need some ad-hoc support at events. If you're into presenting, there's the chance to do that too (not vital!)
- You'll be based largely at home (on the web), but have regular meetings with us at our bases in Clapham Junction and/or King's Cross
- Commitment for at least a couple of months, for around 5-10 hours per week (depending on you!)

What would I get out of it?
- A chance to play an inside role on one of the web's most exciting ventures
- Get to learn how social networks run, and influence how Project Dirt moves forward in the future
- We'll give you cups of tea and the odd travel expense when you need to travel, but other than that there's no salary involved
- Awesome work experience... we're that small a team, that the role can be THAT big!

How can I find out more about Project Dirt?
- Well, first check us out on our site, numb-nuts (www.projectdirt.com)
- Check out the 'About Us' page and the video in particular
- We're a 'Breakthrough Idea for the 21st Century', according to the Sustainable Development Commission
- check out our interview - here

Thanks for all the interest everyone - we had loads of applications, and just getting back to everyone now.

We're always interested in hearing from people keen to be involved, so just drop us a line as and when.

Hi Mark and Nick

I would love to help out whenever I can. I would have to check and see if it is ok with work etc. I have limited time, but if there is anything on the social networking side which I love doing and of course there was the mention of "Tea" one of my favourite subjects. I am willing to learn more about Ning as you know as I have my own group too so will be a win-win.

Please feel free to contact me about this during the week. We can try and resume that meeting that I had to cancel now that the coast is clear. We can look to reschedule for about 2 weeks time. I will email you some dates tomorrow.

Speak soon.
