Making environmental change happen

Hi all

I've been asked to help organise an evening of climate change games and other activities that involve audience creativity and participation around the theme of climate change, peak oil and sustainability. Two quick questions:

1. Does anyone have any suggestions for good activities/games that fit the bill?
2. Would anyone like to help with organising the evening? (it will be at the Battersea Arts Centre at some point in October)

Cheers

Denny

Hi, if its not too late I thought I'd let you know that Cambridge Carbon Footprint have some excellent games which I know they are currently getting professionally produced. One is on food, one on travel and one on energy in the home.

Hi Denny...
Have you looked through the Climate Institute website?

http://www.climate.org/resources/educational/games.html

Some of these could be interesting?

And there's always the old classic ice-breaker that Chris Church used in the South London Low Carbon Communities event... now I can't find it (aaaghh - why don't people upload resources to their PD page!!). Something like Carbon Bingo. Basically each person has a blank sheet, with a 5 by 5 grid of squares (each with an environmental behaviour) to put a person's name next to each one... find someone who (e.g.) Grows their own tomatoes; Cycles to work; has visited a wind turbine ,etc. etc.

FOUND IT!!!
I'll upload it to Sth London Low Carbon Communities page too. If you print, perhaps it should be on Recycled paper?!
It might be worth changing a few boxes to make things a bit more locally appropriate?
