Thought you might be interested in this VERY exciting event organised by Wandsworth Environment Forum, TT Wandsworth and TT Tooting this Thursday.

Speaking at the event will be nationally renowned expert on food security and food sustainability Tim 'food miles' Lang, and leading green economics/climate change thinker, Andrew 'tescopoly' Simms. Both are Wandsworth residents to boot.

Just to let you know... There's a Wild Food Walk orgainised for Sunday 23 August in Norwood Park meeting by the children's paddling pool in the centre of the park at 3:00pm. Bring a picnic and containers for blackberries.

Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses have finalised their programme of Sunday events for summer and autumn 2009 - tomatos, apples, grapes, pumpkin soup.... Have a look on www.brockwellparkcommunitygreenhouses.org.uk for the dates and come along (located in the centre of the park)! Please contact us if you want more information or to be involved (collating recipes, decorating, cooking, harvesting and so on), or join the group to stay updated.

Streatham Communal Garden Project is having an open afternoon. 31st August 2pm - 5:30pm. 154a Sunnyhill Road, Streatham (off the high road nearest bus stop Becmead Avenue). Food will be provided (donations welcome). We're always looking for new members too. Phone Jen 07729214168 to join the project. No need to book for the open day just turn up.

Hi FuFers!

TT Wandsworth is in the process of creating a new community garden down by the riverside in Wandsworth. It will be the first of its kind in the borough and could spawn lots of initiatives it goes well.

However, to get it up and running, we need to as many people as possible to volunteer to help! If you'd like help us get it all going, please do join the project Dirt page for the garden -http://www.projectdirt.com/group/watersidewalkcommunitygarden.

We need as many people as possible involved!

Hello all

Please have a look at the first ever Tranistion Town Peckham event (30th June on the calendar on the right) and see if you or SE15 basd friends might like to come. Could you also let any Peckham based friends, who may never have been interested in green issues before, know about the meeting. The group is not only for already "green" people but for anyone who kind of knows about climate change but isn't really sure what implications that has or what they can do about it.
