Making environmental change happen

Hi all,

I'm active in Transition Town Brixton, and a councillor in Lambeth.

I'm also doing a Masters degree at the moment, and for my dissertation I'm researching the inter-face between Transition groups and their local authorities.

Transition step 9 is to 'Build a bridge to local government', so I'm keen to understand where that works, where it hasn't worked, what the sources of tension are, what the missed opportunities are etc.

The aim is to pull-out a best-practice model for how TT's and councils can work together to amicably accelerate the Transition agenda.

To help with my research, I'd be grateful for the chance to have a brief interview with someone from TTT who has had significant experience of your inter-face with the council. I'd be grateful if you could advise me of who would be an appropriate person to contact, or even better if someone was happy to volunteer to be interviewed (in-person or by phone).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best Regards,

Steve

Hi Steve, Lucy Neal is probably the best person to speak to but I know she is not around at the moment. I only know of one or two communications with Wandsworth Council up to now but there may be more. If you want more info send a mail to transitiontowntooting@gmail.com and I can pass on contact details. Cheers, David
