Make noise for exhausted climate negotiators! (Event: 07 October)

Hey!

Yeah I'd love to be involved in the flashmob! Will try to find people that will be interested...think there will be quite a few..!

Might need some help with the target businesses though...not done so well so far but will keep looking! After Christmas seems like a very good time to me...just when things are starting to die down...

Let me know any suggestions of businesses/people...

I found Project Dirt by a google search for her. I think she works for / owns a company with Aardvark in its name who I hope collect vegetable matter from houses / flats so it can be recycled. I an attempting to recycle more of the domestic waste.
Driven by buying a kitchen tidy with a carbon filter to stop the nasty niffs, but this needs emptying weeklyish so what happens next. If I only throw it out weekly that will save 6 plastic bags going to landfill I believe but I would like to do more.
So that is Natasha Harris.
However do you know of any vegetable initiatives in domestic blocks of flats. I live in Bermonsey / Southwark. Should I just throw it in the Thames ?
warm regards c

Hi , yes I did enjoy and learned a lot. There is much happening but much is aimed as I see it at the converted talking to the converted. What interest me is how to garner traction to show that many people care. Are schools doing anything ? Apparently last year 5m school kids grew some food.
I am also looking to find Natasha Harris - do you know her ? wr c

Your blog's spot on AJ - I'll upload it to front page tomorrow pm.
Can you please in the meantime just add the following:
- to the title at the top: "Guest Blog: People, Copenhagen, Action II"
- to the title under the picture: "Make noise for exhausted climate negotiators! (Event: 07 October)"
That would be perfect

Hi AJ - I think you mean the 'event' you set up? That's all fine - but if you do a blog (by clicking on the words Project Dirt Blog on the left of this page), with an image - I can then upload it to the middle of the front page. Ideally it would have a bit more description as to what the event is, why you're excited about it, who should come, why you're doing it... etc. etc. and of course a good landscape picture (copying format for our front page blogs) and a link to the event page you've made for it (so people can 'sign up').
Otherwise, yes, the event will come onto the front page (just as a single link in the right side column) automatically as time gets closer ... probably tomorrow. I just thought a larger 'push' on the front page would be a bit better for you... Hope that's clear. Cheers, Nick
