Of course.. all welcome. As I said it's self-organising. It is not planned - whoever turns up will make it!
All the best

About Me:
Hello there.

I grew up in Tooting and now I have returned I appreciate living here more than ever. I feel very inspired by the Transition Town Tooting initiative and I am keen to help promote awareness and practice of more sustainable lifestyles in our local community.

I developed an interest in sustainable living over the last ten years or so, having attended a three month residential course in Sustainable Land Use in 2001 and run a few short urban permaculture courses in North London. More recently I have started to create permaculture designs for a variety of gardens around South London. Some of the latter has been done via Wandle LETS, a non - monetary community trading scheme covering Wandsworth and Merton.

My other main interest is in Buddhist practice - particularly meditation - as a means of developing a positive approach to life. I am also particularly interested in exploring the common ground shared by the major spiritual traditions, so many of which are followed in our local community.
Key Interests
Conservation, Recycling, Composting, Carbon Reduction, Wildlife, Education, Gardening
Experience/Skills
Previously I was a teacher in adult education for eight years, teaching mainly biology and computing.

Chairman of local LETS group.

Teaching meditation and about Buddhist practice - with special interest in the scientific aspects of particular practices (such as meditation) and their relationship with other religious traditions.
