Your views needed by Wandsworth BC (18th November deadline)

The world is moving increasingly towards grass roots activity, what people think, local community groups and ad hoc projects that address neighbourhood issues. Who would know better about a problem (and the solution) than the residents… Continue

Reflections from a 30 year old

Wooah – I hit 30 on Saturday … a bit of a milestone some may say. I’d like to think of it as a good reason to have a party, get old friends together and drink too much!

A friend said to me the other day turning 30 was a great thing. It was like a watershed i… Continue

NEF (New Economics Foundation) - The Bigger Picture

I've just been down to NEFs "Bigger Picture" in the Bargehouse (near the Oxo Tower) on the south bank.

Wow - what an event. Project Dirt was in there as part of The Hub's space ... and we were lucky to be involved, because it meant we could skip past the 100s of people queui… Continue

Thanks for your support in the Free Solar bid. We had over 550 people send emails and post comments.

Despite the clear public interest in our proposal, our bid was unfortunately not successful and we will not be able to offer free solar panels under this project. We didn't win this one but Lambeth Superhomes continues to look for ways to work with communities to deliver financed ‘whole house’ eco-renovation delivered by trained local tradespeople.

I will post future initiatives on my blog.

All the best

Mate - the calendar isn't working - I've just added Balham Green Drinks, on Dec 3rd (here) and it's not showing on the calendar.
Nor are some other events.

Thanks for the tip, Mark - much obliged. Feel slightly plonkerish for not noticing the format in the first place. All now sorted, after a fair bit of GIMPing and coding.

Hia,
Just noticed I failed to put a date on my blog entry/invite to the In Transition showing. I have dealt with that now. Could you please put it on the front page now? Cheers, G.
